The Fall 2024 edition presents a selection of peer-reviewed articles addressing various topics in healthcare education, such as the development of a Canadian Medical Assistance in Dying curriculum, training for mistreatment responses, emotional intelligence through improv, and tenure relevance in medical schools. ACCME Learning Resources
The “Coffee with Graham Podcast” features ACCME’s Graham McMahon discussing healthcare accessibility with Kristina Petersen. Other highlights include a conversation about evolving healthcare professional development and aligning CME with medical services. The ACCME also offers anonymized data for research on continuing education effectiveness and provides resources for faculty development in accredited CME.
CE News Spotlight
The CME InnovateED Conference, hosted by the Stanford Center for Continuing Medical Education in August 2024, aimed to enhance best practices in online learning, featuring 47 sessions and 67 speakers. Focused on collaboration and AI integration, the event highlighted tools for engaging education, inclusivity, and future preparedness in continuing medical education.
E-Learning & Technology – Brainstorming Conceptual Toolset for Crafting AI-enhanced CPD
The SACME TECPD Committee has released a draft article titled “Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Continuing Professional Development: A Theoretical Framework,” co-authored by 8 members. It presents the ALEERRT-CA framework, focusing on AI Literacy, Explainability, Ethics, Readiness, Reliability, and Learning Theories, emphasizing human-centered CPD design over technology.
