Strategic Thinking: Shaping the Future of CPD

Throughout the meeting, keynote speakers and workshop leaders challenged us to think boldly about the evolving landscape of healthcare CPD.
Presentations on technology’s impact, emerging models of learning, and leadership strategies highlighted the critical importance of innovation and foresight in shaping the future of continuing professional development.

After officially stepping into her leadership role, SACME President Linda Caples, PhD, delivered an inspiring address to members, reaffirming SACME’s commitment to advancing scholarship, innovation, and collaboration in continuing medical and interprofessional education. Her message set a powerful tone for the year ahead, focused on community strength, strategic growth, and a bold vision for the future.
Graham McMahon, MD, M.Sc., President and CEO of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). With a data-driven vision for the future, the ACCME President highlighted the growth, challenges, and opportunities within the world of accredited continuing education.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate the successes of this year’s meeting, we also look ahead with excitement and resolve.

Closing the Meeting with an Invitation to SACME’s 50th Anniversary
Annual Meeting Committee Chair Jennifer Alessi and SACME President Linda Caples, PhD, officially closed the 2025 SACME Annual Meeting with an enthusiastic invitation to join the Society’s 50th Anniversary celebration in 2026, to be held in Lexington, Kentucky.
Capturing the spirit of the moment, Dr. Caples waved warmly to attendees, signaling both gratitude for the past year and excitement for the milestone year ahead.
