SACME 2025 Annual Meeting Proceedings Report

Robert D’Antuono, MHA, Editor

Dear Reader,

This, our 5th SACME Annual Meeting Proceedings Report, attempts to capture the remarkable presentations that are heard during the 49th Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education (SACME) Annual Meeting. The goal of this report is to give this meeting a life beyond Washington, DC. It aims to recognize the impressive talent of our SACME members engaged in CPD research. The content, presented here in digital format, is searchable to any CPD professional for future research and learning.  As such, the meeting content becomes part of the historic literature. It contributes to the “living” universal body of knowledge on these emerging CE-CPD topics and trends of the day.

The 2025 report provides you with brief summaries of plenary session presentations, as well as the rich abstracts and posters presented by SACME research members.  We hope readers will find this report enjoyable and useful as a reference tool, but also valuable in terms of discovering the many “take-away” pearls to guide or enhance the development of your CPD activities back at your home institution.  It’s all here in this convenient, easy to read report.

Lastly, we welcome your comments and suggestions for making this report a more useful resource for CPD leaders and learners.

This report is very much a team effort. I want to express my gratitude to Vjeko Hlede, PhD and Erin Irtenkauf, our editorial team colleagues responsible for the production of this report. I also thank our CE News reporters who authored summaries of our plenary sessions.
