In this issue, CE News continues to publish paintings by historically significant artists for your pleasure. Last Fall, we presented the artists of the Impressionist period. The paintings and artists selected for this issue are called the “Modernists”. These artists are the contributors to what has been designated by art historians as the Modernist Movement, occurring from 1910 – 1940. Beyond, 1940s, began the Contemporary Movement.
