Advancing Research and Evaluation in Health Professional Education
Learn how to incorporate the latest research and scholarship into your CPD/CME practice. The CPD Scholarship Program is designed for both experienced and novice individuals who are looking to advance their research, evaluation, and scholarly skills. This program will kick off at the 2025 SACME Annual Meeting in Washington, DC (available both in person and virtually). Following the launch, participants will engage in monthly two-hour virtual sessions, culminating at the 2026 SACME Annual Meeting, which will also offer both in-person and virtual attendance options.

A prospective randomized study to compare standard versus intensive training strategies on long-term improvement in critical care ultrasonography proficiency.
This article studied the impact of two approaches to the acquisition of critical care ultrasound skills by Critical Care Fellows. The lack of any impact of 8 additional hours of training raises important questions regarding which skills require more longitudinal training to reach acceptable levels of competence.
